Boots was born in Ardmore, Oklahoma on September 16th, 1936, to the late Tom and Nacy Jones.
Boots moved to Phoenix in 1952 and resided there until his passing. He retired from the Tempe School District in 1981. He enjoyed working and was highly respected at the school. Boots enjoyed cooking, gardening, and working on old cars. He also seized every opportunity to tap dance for friends and family.

Boots was kind and generous, and always ready to give a helping hand to people who need one. He had many friends and will be greatly missed by all.
